Carolyn sighed and turned onto Lake Street heading back to The Heights. “David is going to have dinner ready when we get back.” Karl muttered to himself and crossed his arms over his chest. Then we can go on with our lives like this never happened.” Karl didn’t look at her. “I don’t want you getting involved.
