Wilbur is a naked mole rat that enjoys wearing clothes, unlike his peers. He breaks the norms of a naked mole rat and sets a trend of wearing cool outfits. Even though he was told not to wear clothes by his peers, he did it anyways and the Grand-pah of all the naked mole rats made a proclamation letting it be acceptable for a naked mole rat to dress up. Wilbur is a brave character sticking to his guns and setting a trend. These traits are admirable ones that are great for children to read about. Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed is a lovely ad endearing story about a naked mole rat who likes to dress up! Naturally, he is the outcast of his naked mole rat community. He withstands the pressures of his peers and is true to himself even when the head naked mole rat questions his decisions. This book sends the message to children that being yourself is important and that peer pressure is not worth submitting to.
Works really well if you also have a book with actual photos of naked mole rats.
