Smiling and selling himself came second nature to him, it's part of what made him such an effective business owner. He could smile in someone's face and make them laugh, even as he fired them. He could sell a woman in white gloves a ketchup popsicle. He could certainly sell himself to Katya as a charming, happy-go-lucky, only interested in sex kinda dude. Because that's what he was, usually. He'd seen her profile, learned about her, and wanted to push her buttons. Tease his prim-and-proper next door neighbor. He'd never expected her to explode out of her shell the way she had – he was still blown away by their first night together. But he hadn't expected her to be so endearing. Sassy. She was funny, and watching her discover herself, seeing her test her own boundaries, was special to him. She was a very willing student, and Liam was an excellent tutor, so they fit well together in bed. They fit even better outside of bed. That was the problem, right there.
