The Night Is Alive" performed by Luke Daniels on CD.This story focuses on a grand-daughter, Abby, and her grand-fathers legacy. that legacy begins with the Dragonslayer a tavern in Savannah, Georgia. The grand-father, Gus, is the owner. He is a descendant of the original owner, Blue. It turns out that blue was a pirate. blue continues on after death in an effort to protect his descendants from any harm. And so we enter into the paranormal side of this book. The apparition of blue is not afforded to many. It has been afforded to Abby passed down from Gus.Abigail or Abby, as she is known to her friends and family, is studying at the FBI Academy. Abby returns home to discover her grand-father dead. She does not believe it's from natural causes and sets out to prove he was murdered.The FBI involves their paranormal investigating unit aka the Krewe of Hunters with Malachi Gordon as it's head. Soon Malachi and Abby are entwined in more than an investigation.I found this book easy to follow and quite interesting. I had never read Heather Graham before so I have no idea if this is typical or not. I enjoyed this quick read. Having been to Savannah once, and having a paranormal experience while there, I liked the strong sense of place and the ghostly happenings. I figured out who the killer was after a (to me) very telling clue, but still enjoyed how the story played out. The romance was predictable, but not over-the-top mushy.
