This book did not blow me away as I expected it to but it certainly was better than volume 1.I just could not seem to like Vivian, I still felt she was way too judgmental and she never really tried to help Nikolai with their problems, he seemed to be doing all the bending and apologizing. In the last scene when Nikolai was trying to fix it so that his family would be safe and there was no other way, Vivian told him that she was disappointed in him. She knew who she was marrying, she knew the kind of man he was, she just wanted to mold him into someone else.I also wanted to see the bad ass mobster boss that is feared by all but Nikolai came across as whipped. Where was this man that everyone feared and respected?. There where only two incidents I felt he manned up. The sex was hot though.Overall a good read and follow up to the series. The secondary characters where well written and enjoyable. Ten is now my favorite character. I am looking forward to Kostya's book hopefully Holly is not as judgmental as Vivian as Kostya is more badass than Nikolai. I'm not sure what it is about this series that I've just fallen in love with. The story between Nikolai and Vivian just gets better. This was a little slower at points that some of the others' and more convoluted, but I loved it. The characters and relationships drag you in and make up for some of the, albeit small, issues I see in the plots. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment in the series!
What do You think about Nikolai 2 (2014)?
This series just gets better and better. However, the editing still needs improving.
