Not A Fan: Becoming A Completely Committed Follower Of Jesus (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
I love this book for its passion. If you consider yourself an average modern Christian, then prepare to feel uncomfortable. Idleman writes about a walk with God that goes beyond average. One take away from the book is the picture of the knights holding their swords above the water during baptism. They didn't surrender that part of their life to God. I continue to ask myself, "What am I holding above the water?"A book every Christian should read. A declaration every Christian should make. I would highly recommend this book, (and, in fact, have already). It challenges the reader to figure out if we are fans of Jesus, without the true self-sacrificing conviction of a true follower of Jesus. The book shows us with scripture and illustration that Jesus wants the whole of us, all the time. Being a follower means asking the Holy Spirit to fill us and guide us to God's willIn every aspect of our lives. A little humor was an enjoyable touch.
What do You think about Not A Fan: Becoming A Completely Committed Follower Of Jesus (2011)?
Great book. Really makes you think hard about what a true follow of Christ may look like.
