Da li però ognuno riparte piano piano e affronta tutti i propri fantasmi, rimettendosi in gioco e perdendo qualcosa e guadagnando altro! E l'amore c'è sempre ed è lui che da forza e coraggio, anche se c'è da aspettare sessant'anni! Che bellezza! On a stifling hot summers day a horrific crash occurs on the M4 and the consequences change everyone's life forever. Jonathan a surgeon is returning from a liaison with his mistress and gets caught in the crash. While doing the right thing and helping those less fortunate than himself he also knows he won't be able to keep his affair with Abi a secret much longer. Georgia an aspiring young actress is on her way to an audition flees the scene and can't live with the guilt while her agent Linda thinks she just can't be bothered showing. Toby and Barney on their way to Toby's wedding are running late and their involvement in the crash may just have been the cause. Mary , a widow who fell in love with a GI many years ago is on her way to the airport to meet him and renew their friendship.Patrick, the lorry driver who gets ever so sleepy on his runs despite following regulations. Emma the attractive young A&E doctor who looks far too young to be a doctor and William, the farmer who witnesses the tragic scene. Daunted initially by the sheer size of this book I was gripped from the start.A heart stopping prologue describing the crash scene left me hooked and wanting to know what happened to all involved. Nothing is as it seems, relationships torn asunder and new ones formed in the aftermath. The writing was seamless, each part in the tale flowing nicely into the next. My first Vincenzi and certainly not my last.
