I love love love that the hero is a linguist. Much more than just a linguist, of course, but that he's parsing phonemes in the first place really tickles me.Of course, he is using his massive dipthong skills to save the world. Along with his new elite military-style training. The heroine comes across a slightly tstl at times. Would you just run away already? True, she doesn't want to believe that the big bad has tracked her down and where she is isn't safe, but seriously. The big bad is a bit too flat. But then the grey-area motivations of most of the good guys make up for it.The sex was sexy and emotional. I wasn't quite convinced they should be anything but on high alert with a thousand assassins searching for them, but it nearly worked. I had tired a bit of romantic suspense over the years, but this second installment in The Associates series really had my interest from the get go. Unique setting and characters, very intelligently written, twist after twist, with some being pretty unpredictable. The bad guys in the series are BAD. Be prepared for intense action that doesn't shy away from gruesome outcomes. The romance is balanced well and the sex is very, very hot. I'd definitely recommend!
What do You think about Off The Edge (2013)?
I wish I have read the first book, but it kinda stood on it's own. I enjoyed the spy n romance.
