What do You think about Off To Be The Wizard (2014)?
So honestly for a gamer like me, this one was fun. You travel into a world where the main character finds a piece of code that allows him to manipulate the world around us. So naturally where do you go? Medieval England of course, to be a wizard. Instead of wowing people with his spectacle, he ends up meeting a cast of characters that show him what the word wizard really means. Solid story, really humorous, great / memorable characters. Overall a good nerdy read.

Solid book that doesn't take itself to seriously. It was in the same general vein as "Ready, Player One," and successfully blended light scifi and fantasy elements with modern humor. It was a little predictable in places but in some ways I feel like this may have been intentionally for a bigger payoff later. Just remember don't make the obvious joke. Worth reading and good enough to get me to put the second book in the series on my "To Read list."
