i was not a fan of the new Vampire phenomenon that is now all the rage but this series is quite good! I have read othe books by this author and I really liked them so I decided to read the Scanguards and was pleasently suprised! the books where well written and pulled you in form the very 1st page. I have only read 1 other Vampire series( the Black Daggar brootherhood which is hands down the best series out there) but these are quicking climbing the ranks! Great Job Ms. Folsom! I hated the way everyone treated Oliver as if he were an errant child, instead of a grown man with a history of drug abuse....the entire group of fateful friends treated him like a dirty druggy overall...I really disliked this...even Zane of all the vampire/people who just had his own life upheaval. The strong nasty act from Maya really didn't fly with me either, I don't see her as a hateful person...also she is an Medical Doctor actually wasn't she originally a urologist/surgeon... she should have a stronger composure in this situation, and gather all facts before making a judgement call.
Another great storyline I enjoyed reading this series and loved this story
