I can't say enough good things about this book. Haven has spent his whole life hating and killing vampires. Until Yvette. Yvette is a character whose past we don't know anything about. They come together at cross purposes, but are forced to work together for a common goal. In doing so, Haven learns that everything he's been brought up to believe isn't necessarily true. Both Yvette and Haven overcome painful secrets of the past and bond quickly and passionately. Another book of love and healing. Tina writes such great characters that you can't help but connect with. They all have human wants and needs and she puts together people who bring out the best in the other. Well written and can't wait to continue on with the other members of Scanguards. I wasn't sure whether I'd like this book because I couldn't relate well to Yvette from the last book. Well I have to change that idea. The author really took a close look at the characters background which gave me a new understanding her. She and Haven really steamed up the read. They work well as a couple. The ending was a surprise but I can see this couple taking on a whole new adventure. Glad I changed my mind about Yvette and Haven. I really liked this book and look forward to reading the next in this series.
