After breaking ties with his father and making a name for himself in the racing industry, Gray Preston is bound and determined to remain as far away as possible from the unforgiving world of politics and intrigue ruled by his father. It gets all the more interesting when Evelyn Hill, one of the aides in his fathers campaign, shows up with every weapon in her arsenal ready to do whatever it takes to get Gray to help his father secure a powerful position in politics. It's a very interesting tug-of-war between these two or see who will win, but I loved every minute of it and was absolutely thrilled with the end result. But what was most interesting to see was how, even though these two were really determined not to fall in love (with their conflicting careers and distance issues), nobody told them that it's impossible to control who you fall in love with and that sometimes the person who seems like your complete opposite is actually the perfect match for you. I liked this book. Gray is hot and the sex steamy. Evelyn wasn't as exciting as I would've hoped but I liked her. I would've thought she'd be more assertive in her personal lefe since she was so goal oriented but it's not a major problem. I'm a sports fan so I'm loving this series and how each sport is described and such a part of the story. I love Jaci Burton's writing so I'm continuing to enjoy the Play by Play series

This book was so good. It made me laugh, and at times had me tearing up. A must read in my opinion.
