I enjoyed the story and the plot was engaging until it unraveled toward the end. The h became a non-entity. The conflict to keep the H and h apart was weak and thwarted by the fact the h caved every two pages and forgave the guy for his mistake over and over again. I understand the need to keep the tension alive by keeping the pair apart but it didn't work here. But what really bothered me was that during the sex scenes, the woman's personality vanished. Very strange, but her feelings, thoughts, emotions, all became nonexistent. Not to mention, in two separate sex scenes the man does the exact same thing, almost word for word. She became a cypher instead of a person. Which is too bad, since the premise and writing had been strong until then. I suspect it was rushed. 2.5 starsIt was a sweet, easy summer read. This one didn't speak to me, but it wasn't a waste of time. The significance of the event that drew them together years ago was hinted at but not explained enough to justify the insta-love, and later they both claim they fell in love years ago. I just wasn't sold on the back story. Thorsen's position in the company and his feelings about it seem to change drastically, as does his relationship with his nemesis at the end. The climax seemed to occur to early, and the resolution was anti-climactic. I just felt like I was missing something.

A very good book. Erik... or whatever is name is has become one of my favorite characters.

Pretty good book. It was a little slow with the 'good stuff' but I enjoyed it.
