This review needs to have two ratings; one for story and one for editing. For story: Awesome story! I loved the story, it was very different and intriguing. The character were great, though they needed some more development. The story of an organization raising and training hunters and huntress to kill vampires, but then there are demons thrown in there, very cool to me.For the editing:UGH! 1 1/2 stars for editing. All the elements were there, but it seemed the author wrote everything, and then just through it all together without putting in the right spots. There were parts that were jumbled and didn't go along with the story until much later. I think running this through a good plot editor would do wonders!Overall I really enjoyed the book and wanted to know what was going to happen so bad! I look forward to continuing the story! The reason for giving it a 3 star rating was for three reasons.One. The plot of this book was pretty unique...somewhat. Two. Abby just infuriates me. The author seemed to add one skill that she can do. Constantly adding another one throughout the story. By the end, she has almost about 10 ten things that she can do. Like what the heck, I think that in itself was a bit too much. Also, how Abby reacted to everything. There were very few moments when she showed anything but anger. Anger. Anger. Anger. I mean, come on! Get over the past! You had about 200years to do so women! Three. The writing was poor. Sorry, but its true. Devon Ashley I think may have added scenes that she already had in the book. It was confusing. One minute Noel is talking to the girls. Then he says to give him 2 minutes to find Abby. Then, he finds her tying cloth on her wound. Which, if you read carefully, ten pages back, she did exactly that, then went to another place to be attacked. Wasn't in the right place. Them goes back to him leaving the mansion saying he needs to find Abby. Like what the crap. Maybe my version on the Kindle was wrong, but I seriously doubt that. That one section just confused and irritated the heck out of me. But, for the rest of the book, good. I kind of would have liked to see more of Emily. Just for the author to go a little more indepth about her. Not just let the whole story circulate around the angry Abby. These are the reasons why I didn't like the book and why I rated it 3stars.
