This may be my favorite Lost Files. It was great getting to know Sandor. It was totally unexpected, but he really was a great match for Nine. It was interesting to read a story the describes Lorien pre-invasion. I absolutely loved Sandor! It was also interesting to get a glimpse into life on the ship. I also found myself quickly trying to figure out who the different Cepans were with their original names. Great short story! And it wasn't too short! Sadly, I had forgotten who Sandor was. I had to actually look back and read some of the reviews because I know that there is always a few that will give away spoilers and what not. This is not a spoiler. Through Sandor's eyes we also get to see a glimpse of what life on Lorien was like for a few days. Sandor is Nine's Cepan and this is his story. I truly enjoyed it and after reading it I realized how meant to be Sandor and Nine truly were. Young Sandor was a bit reckless, wanted to break the rules all the time, was often bored and felt confined. These were all of the traits that Nine possesed. The relationship between Gard and Cepan has been explained to us many times already but I have to say that I felt it more via Sandor and Nine than any other. Even though this story is more about the days leading up to the great attack and not so much about Sandor and Nine, I felt like mentioning this because the author finally got this particular feeling right in a few pages. Good job.
Loved reading about what life on Loric was like, and am now even more hyped to read the next book!

It's good compared to the disappointing The Fall of Five.

It was interesting to see how things "began" on Lorien.
