This did not work for me in any way shape or form. I am an absolute huge fan of GFY but this one just seemed ridiculous to me. I couldn't even suspend belief. It was without a doubt too unbelievable for me to even try. The first sex scene alone should have clued me in. It was hot but come on, no way would that happen. Seriously, even the real life stuff and the stories of the past were just unreal. No offense to the author at all, this is just my personal take on a book that it seems my friends enjoyed. It's me not you, yeah? I liked the scenery of the story immediately. Loved that they were going out for a sail. I also liked the chemistry been Nick and Rafferty. The first sex scene was nice but it would have been more realistic if Raff had some trepidation about giving head for the first time. And then he's pretty good at it. Okay. Whatever. The story loses me when they get off the boat. Rafferty goes from a likable character to one that I didn't like so much anymore and that changed the tone of the story for me. Rafferty was the one who made the first move. He tells Nick he's going to call but doesn't. Then he pushes Nick away. Nick became so needy all of a sudden. Why couldn't he rein in his emotions liked he's done for four years. Yes, Rafferty did him wrong, but he should have manned up.When Rafferty comes back into the picture he really doesn't do anything to deserve Nick's forgiveness. I didn't care about the sex that came and I don't believe in their HFN because it sure as fuck won't be a HEA.Sorry Lisa ;-) P.S. What kind of name is Mose for a dog? How do you even pronounce that?
What do You think about Out Of My Mind (2007)?
Again, wonderful! I like sexual tension :)
