An absolutely intriguing true story about a family's struggle with an unwelcome presence of the worst kind. This book tells the story of how Caroline and Neil's life was completely turned upside down when evil of some kind started terrorizing them in their own home and eventually following them elsewhere. It's hard to imagine the pure hell they went through but with all the different witnesses I have no doubt that it happened. I can honestly say that more than once while reading this book I heard strange noises that had me jumping out of my skin. At it's best this book is a fascinating look at paranormal activity for those with an open mind. But for those that don't believe in things that go bump in the night Paranormal Intruder is still a creepy story that will have you double guessing that shadow that moves past the corner of your eye. Either way it's an interesting book that's worth a read. I won this book from a Goodreads giveaway and I'm certainly happy that I did. This book is told as a factual account from the author documenting experiences that her family had with a paranormal entity. While there are a few minor mistakes like a typo here and there, the story is told in an human, straight-forward way that was engaging. I love that the author is a police officer, and I was extremely interested in who she chose to share her experience with and how people reacted to what she had to say. Quite interesting and engaging all around.
