The lack of editing brought my star count down. Please go back and correct the errors as it is a sweet story that grabs the reader. I love the error of accepting the stereotype of tattoos equal bad boy. Know good guys with tattoos and very bad guys who looked squeaky clean. This story hit some of the obvious heart pulls - i.e. young dad trying, strung out mom, abandoned baby and new love. Still I liked it. I wish it spoke to some of the MC's background. How a smart & tattooed youth married at 16 but goes on to college (premed no less)? Also more of Sully's path to being a police officer that is openly gay and how his family is so accepting. That last is how it should be but so many times is not. I have read other things by this author, all short stories or novellas. I would LOVE to see him write longer stories so we can see more of his plot/character development. I’m finally getting a chance to write a decent review for this story, hurray! There is so much to this story I love. It’s well written, characters are indepth and flawed. It’s emotionally riveting with a passionate character connection. There was a slight rushed feel but that’s going to be practically impossible to surmount when writing a short story instead of a book. Everything fell into place and that’s a mark of a really good author. When you find yourself escaping and believing. Thank you for this lovely story.
What do You think about Parce Que Tu Es Toi (2014)?
Short and sweet. Should have been longer, so much room for more.
