Pies & Prejudice (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

This is the fourth book in the mother daughter book club series. Emma's family switches houses with a family in England for a year, There is a mean girl, named Annabelle who is making Emma's stay in England miserable. The book club decides to start Pies and Prejudice in hopes of bring Emma back. Megan starts a blog who doesn't make people too happy. Cassidy starts Sticks with Chicks which is for younger girls who want to play hockey but someone dies who is a person Cassidy looks up too.I really liked this book. I liked the plot and the pace the book was going. I recommend you read this book but not before you read the other ones in the series. The writing in this book was very casual, and easy to read, and understand. However, I had a hard believing that the characters in the book were 9th graders, rather than 7th or 8th graders. For example, the way that they react to their crushes, and the way that the crushes respond seems a little immature for girls and boys who have their driving learning permits. Also, it was really nice to read about girls like me because they go through what I go through every day. Furthermore, I started in the middle of this series, and I could understand the plot well. I would recommend, though, that you start reading from the first book of the series, which will make the girls seem not that immature because every book starts them in a new grade. This will let you grow up with them, which helps you understand them better. This book is part of a series, and I now plan to read the first book, until the end of the series! I would recommend this series to all girls in seventh grade.
