I am really enjoying this series. How did I ever miss it since this was published in 2009? Better late than never.Chloe and Julian are great in the starring roles and add to that several incredible supporting characters. The bad guys/gals are bad. Some innocent people are victimized (which is why the bad guys/gals are so bad).I found this story difficult to put down. In fact I only did so to sleep, eat, feed the cats, etc. Now I need to get something done on my "to do" list before I start the next in the series or else my laundry is going to pile up along with dishes.Definitely a re-read. No silliness, although I tend to skim through self-doubt dialogue so may not have noticed if there was a lot of it. What I did find was excitement when they were being chased or when they were chasing. I was on the edge of my seat much of the time. If He's Wicked mixes romance, suspense, murders, political schemes and paranormal with a very interesting plot. A noble and renowned family is threatened to have their heirs killed by an arrogant and egocentric man, and the only ones who can avoid this are the “eccentrics” from the Wherlocke family, a family that, according to rumors, have been involved with witchcraft, spirits and dark magic from a very long time. But not everything you hear is true, or at least not completely. The plot is, as I said, very interesting, the schemes and the suspense, but of course, the best part is the Wherlocke family, where every family member has a special gift. I thought this part could be better explored, since some gifts weren’t that clear to me and only Chloe’s gift was really well explored. Even with the nice plot, it serves only as the backstage for Chloe and Julian’s romance, in fact the story is all about how they have sex all the time and the rest happens to be going on around them. The plot had everything to be addictive and the book to be a romance/suspense, but at the end it felt more like an erotica with an ok plot than a really good and spicy book, as it could have been. But even so is worth the reading, especially for the erotica fans.

Light read - perfect for lazy, rainy weekend mornings.
