i liked the first half of the book well enough, but later i just couldn't get into it - dustin's moping was just plain annoying and repetitive, imo. i love a good dose of self-antagonism in my books, but seriously, his musings bored me. 'yeah, yeah, you have it tough, now shut up.' i don't like it when books don't have a prominent, um, let's say 3-d, [main] character, and for me this is the case here. i think the story could have been better if it'd been told from brandon's perspective. Dustin left his ex-wife 6 months ago, after 10 years of a miserable marriage, when he catches her cheating on him. He has dated a few women since then. Had a few one night stands, but nothing prepared him for the intense and immediate attraction to Brandon, when he spots him across the bar. He has never been attracted to a guy before, but Brandon sets him on fire! He makes him feel things he never knew he was missing in his sex life, but will he accept that it's more than just a physical attraction to Brandon?I absolutely loved Dustin and Brandon together. It was HOT, HOT, HOT.. They had such a good chemistry. They couldn't keep there hands and mouths off of each other. This book was SO good, until the end!! The author needed to add 5-10 more pages to wrap things up. So much is left unsaid. Brandon may have ended up with Dustin in the end, but the author did a huge disservice to him in the end. There were things that Dustin realized, and should have said to Brandon and didn't. I wanted so bad to give this book 5 stars, but J was left hanging in the end to guess how things turned out. I don't like that. I want everything wrapped up in a nice neat bow.
