She slowly opened her eyes to see Nikola staring down at her. “Morning beautiful.” He tried to kiss her and she covered her mouth with her hand. “Need to brush my teeth.” She tried to rise, but his body hovered over hers, he glanced down at her mouth and a fresh winter mint flavoring now filled her taste buds. Lissa shook her head. “Do you want something? Are you in a hurry?” Nikola pushed his nose against hers. “If you don’t kiss me right now, I’m going to turn you over my knee and spank you. Never again will I sit by and watch you go through so much pain. You are getting wrapped in a bubble!” For a minute she just stared up at him, then busted out laughing. “Oh my god Nikola, you can’t be serious.” She wrapped her arms around him. “I have to admit, I don’t want to do that again.” Lissa pulled him down. “I have never hated anyone Nikola, but I really hate them for what they did to me.” “They will pay, I promise you.” Nikola covered her mouth in a hard, all-consuming kiss, her toes curled, her body heated, and Lissa could have sworn her heart was surrounded in flames.
