Another outing with Theo and the gang results in a mystery that I didn't solve until about halfway through the book. Once again I am annoyed with the Parker Scully relationship. He barely appears in the novel and Theo seems to go on more "dates" with her older assistant, Drayton, than her current boyfriend, Parker. What is the point of his character? Get on with it or write him out and I won't give any spoilers but it seems that there will finally be some closure on that issue in this book. Yay. Always fun to visit Charleston in this series. Theodosia Browning owns the Indigo Tea Shop. Her friends Drayton, Haley and Miss Dimple also assist with the day to day operations. Theodosia and Drayton attend the Heritage Society's Pirates and Plunder Party where a murder is committed and Blackbeard's Skull Cup with a diamond embedded in it is stolen. Theodosia and Drayton set out to find the killer. They take the reader on an interesting chase setting out all kinds of traps to catch the killer. No blood and gore in this book but it does leave enough for the readers mind to imagine a murder without all the gruesome details.
had to quit reading this one. pretty unrealistic and did not get my interest at all
