I needed something quick and brainless to read, so I chose this! It fit the bill. As far as mysteries go, this "mystery" was the worst of the bunch. After a dramatic catastrophe right off the streets of Wisteria Lane, the characters stumble about their lives and stumble into the plotter's home in the second-to-last chapter, no deductive reasoning required! However, good character development for the characters I did like, and I'm intrigued to figure out where the whole RLA thing is going. Tricia, Tricia, Tricia. Will she ever stop trying to buy other people's way out of their financial troubles? By the way, how does Ginny still have her cottage? Didn't she turn down Tricia's money in the last book, resigning herself to move in with a friend in an apartment or something in Book 4? But she's still there in this one. It seems like the author is afraid of writing about sex, but doesn't want to appear a prude. Tricia's very uptight about anything and everything, but the author casually throws out that she was lovers with both of her flames from Stoneham, despite much chemistry with either of them. They barely even kiss in the books.Anyway, I enjoyed reading this one, but most of the characters kind of irk me. I suppose it's a love/hate relationship with this series.
What do You think about Sentenced To Death (2011)?
