“Do you want any?” She offered the trial-size bottle to Piper. “It smells wonderful.” Piper set her Bible on the nightstand. “Sure.” Bailey was right; it smelled like a meadow after a soft spring rain. “Oooh, it does smell good.” “One of the perks of staying in a nice hotel.” Bailey pulled back the covers on her bed. “I’m glad we get to be bunkmates.” “Me too.” It’d be nice to have another female around. Piper was so used to living with Kayden that staying alone in hotel rooms for the past week had felt strange. Bailey crawled into bed, rustled under the covers, and then rolled on her side to face Piper. “How are you really doing?” Piper adored Bailey, loved how she always went straight to the heart of the matter, but in a tender, loving way. “I don’t know.
