4.75 Stars of Love. Love Ben, love Chase, love Nat. I really love Joshua. That kid needs his own book when he grows up. You can tell he belongs to Jack Barnes. I love Logan and can't wait for him and Georgia. I love Kitten and can't wait for her and Cole. Hmmm, can you tell I love it all? If not, let me tell you... I LOVE IT ALL. It was great to catch up with everyone else in Dallas and get a glimpse of what is going to come in Bliss. The crossover between the two series is always a fun ride. While this story can tend to be predictable, it does not matter. Sophie Oak keeps you engaged because you love her characters and genuinely want to see their happily ever after. Bring on the next one! I really enjoyed this book. It was fun (several laugh out loud moments), the characters quirky (causing even more laugh out loud moments), the BDSM was well integrated into the story and felt realistic and the plot was interesting - if not terribly original. I did not take away anything for the less than original basic plot, because in my opinion this author does amazing things with well used plot lines making them feel fresh and new. I just can't quite give 5 full stars, because I felt the middle of the story bogged down a bit with repetitive internal self affirmations - or self pep talks if you will. Thank goodness there was no talk of inner-goddesses, but there were moments that felt just a bit too close for my taste.Yes, I feel I'm being rather picky about this, but there was a point when I was having an easy time laying the book down - from around 40% to 60% is my estimate - until the action picked up again. On the positive side, there is a very nice and even evolution of the protagonists' relationship. I did not doubt the love between them and their HEA is very satisfying. To be honest, this particular threesome may be my favorite of all the Sophie Oak Siren and Bliss menages so far. Chase is delightfully frustrating and nerdy, Ben solid and loyal, and Natalie truly feels worthy of the two drool worthy twins. There was a point at which - through misunderstanding and some errors in judgement - the relationship is sorely tested. Yet, without too much wallowing (I admit wanting to smack Chase for a moment or two - but I got over it. ;P), all three stepped up to find their way again. For me, this is a real plus. I dislike stupid misunderstandings, this one wasn't stupid. I dislike when one person carries all the blame for having "failed" the other - that wasn't the case here either. I felt on firm ground with the BDSM aspects being clearly consensual, and it was very, very hot as well. ;)A great addition to the Siren series and the Bliss characters make a few cameo appearances as well. 4 and 1/2 solid stars.
