I only gave this book 4 stars because I like the ghost and the mystery, but the main character is seriously annoying. To me she comes across as a spoiled brat, getting all worked up and pissed off anytime the ghost says or does anything. And if the ghost warns her to be careful she flips out and seriously over reacts ranting on about how she can take care of herself. All the pointless fighting grates on my nerves, especially when she always assumes his advice has to do with her being a woman and she "knows" the ghost wouldn't have treated her uncle that way. Seems to me that her uncle probably had the exact same conversations but since he didn't have a huge chip on his shoulder like the main character, he wouldn't have been flipping out over words of caution. Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP. A police sketch artist inherits her Uncle's PI clients, the case that killed him, his house and a ghost. The mystery was easy but that can often be compensated for by a great character, this character wasn't full enough to keep me interested. She read like an immature 20 something. The ending came together sloppily, some things were left unaddressed (the first murder was an accident, but the second had hired assassins - why?), and neither of the sleuths (ghost or human) even began to "solve" the mystery at all.The writing itself was fine, but there just wasn't enough to make me want to keep reading this person's story.
What do You think about Sketch Me If You Can (2010)?
I thought I would like this but I didn't. Don't know why just didn't.
