I was looking for a fun fluffy read and I found it with this book. I like what Laurie Notaro has to offer and this book did not disappoint. I like the premise of waking up in Ghost School and having to "fix something" before going to great beyond. The rules of ghosthood were interesting but then several scenes promptly went and broke those rules. Notaro did not make her character seem the type to up and take off on a whim (dental hygienist school takes time and commitment) so it was a bit off that no one questioned not hearing from her. It was still a good read though and of course it all works out to happy ending. i thought this novel was ok. i found it kind of weird in some parts. the main character is Lucy Fisher. she has a sister and a nephew. Lucy's life is not perfect and was close to being perfect. Lucy got hit by a the public transportation which is a bus. when she woke up she awoke in a weird place. she was in a thing called the afterlife. Lucy was kind of shocked at first. she was not the only one there. there were other people who else did not believe where they were and demanded explantations as to were is their families who are all ready dead. they could go back to their funeral. Not a lot of people came to her funeral you can say her sister and nephew came. Lucy did not expect that all she also did not like that her sister instead of putting her in a coffin, she cremated her. in the afterlife she went to school to learn to become a good spirt. but she has questioned herself and wanted to understand why life had been so cruel to her. why had she done wrong? i recommend this novel when you read this book you will not want to put it down.
This was cute and an easy read. Interesting take on ghosts, haunting and life after death.
