Stolen Night (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

The last few chapters really saved the book. If not, I would have given this two or even one star. Justin had completely lost his shine in the story. He was just there, someone Lenah ran to whenever she was hurt by Rhode. Sometimes, it made me wonder what was even the point of the first book since about half of the book was focused on Lenah's love for Justin and Justin's love for Lenah blah blah blah. But when Rhode came back, Lenah immediately dropped Justin like he meant nothing more than a friend to her in the first place. She was all like "Rhode, I love you!" when Justin was just right there. What? But as I said, the last few chapters really saved the book and they brought a bit of my excitement back to finish it because at that point of time, I was just like "okay, whatever. lets just get it done with". But there was a few unexpected twists at the end that I sort of appreciated. Like what happened to Justin. I never guessed that would happen. And the ending part really made me feel sad for Lenah despite the fact that she annoyed the heck of me throughout the story. The way she remembered how Rhode had waited for her in her father's orchard a few hundred years ago really left that lingering feeling in my mind. I wanted them to be together which was kind of surprising because I had stopped caring about their romance when she started treating Justin like rubbish when Rhode reappeared and when she started whining non-stop about how she cant touch him, hug him, kiss him blah blah.. I mean, yes, I get it. You now finally have the sense of touch as a mortal but you cant touch the one you love. It's painful. Yes, I get it. I GET IT but get over it! Don't you have an evil vampire, waiting to tear your friends' throats at any moment? So shouldn't your focus be fully on THAT and not on not being able to touch your lover? or ex lover or whatever.Judging from the way that this book ended, I am guessing that there is a third book? I think I will be reading it if it came out since I want to finish what I had started but I will definitely not be waiting for it. Oh My Gosh, what?! I still cannot believe its over and now I have to wait more for the next book that will come out-hopefully!!!. Those last few chapters really had my eyes watering and my fingers wanting to turn the page to find out what would happen at the end. The choice that Lenah made, as much as I hated it, I think really did justice to all the things that she had done in the past and really showed the humanity that she had grown to have over the book. I really liked it and I wish the next book comes out as soon as possible because I am so hungry for more! Either way, great book and really good job for writing. A few things in the writing would have been better in the first few chapters but its still amazing. :D

What do You think about Stolen Night (2012)?

OMG....the ending was perfect. As I expected it would be. Eagerly anticipated the third book.
