I enjoyed the first book in this series and I'm upset that I waited so long to read this one. The book started where part 1 left off and it was a page turner from the jump. My dislike for LaShelle multiplied but my love for Fat Ace, Lucifer and Profit increased. The drama was non stop and there were twist and turns throughout the book. There were times when I was confused about the characters but that could've been due to me not paying close attention. I can't wait to read part 3 The streets of Memphis are hot in Street Divas by De’Nesha Diamond. This follow up to Hustlin’ Divas places readers back in the lives of females whose mission is to fight by their men’s side. LeShelle takes her role as the leader of Queen’s G seriously and will do anything to keep her title. She has no problem with laying down the law and making sure other females know who she is and what she represents. Lucifer has always been a ride-or-die chick and has no problem with cleaning up other members messes. Lucifer has a unique way of getting answers and feels an adrenaline rush when weaklings bow down to her. She takes no prisoners and in her path no one is an exception to the rule.Ta’Shara refuses to follow in her big sister, LeShelle’s, footsteps because she does not want a life of hustlin’ and crime. Ta’Shara does know the rules of the game and when she falls in love with Profit, a rival gang member, the Black Gangster Disciplines and Queen G’s are not having it. Essence has always had her best friend, Ta’Shara’s back. Essence tells her that dating a rival gang member will cause problems but Ta’Shara does not listen. Essence’s loyalty is questioned when she falls for her best friend’s man and she finds herself in the middle of a dire situation.Yolanda takes pride in being the chick on the side and her feelings for Python have not swayed, but now she wants the wifey title. Yolanda has one problem; the roadblock in her plan is the infamous LeShelle who wants the key to Python’s heart as well. Yolanda has her work cut out for her but on the other hand so does LeShelle.Street Divas is about hidden agendas, lies and tested loyalty. The raw mentality of these women will have readers turning pages anticipating their next moves. It was a suspenseful and entertaining book full of deceit and revenge just the way I like it. I recommend Street Divas to others who enjoy books dealing with life in an urban setting. This book was provided by the author for review purposes.Teresa BeasleyAPOOO BookClub
