Brava, brava:So timely for me. So moving. I just picked up YVIMY this pm. Needless to say, I never put it down. What a beautiful account, and, may I say, illustration on how the right therapist can transform your life to come. What I mean is, Emma, did the work, and used the tools her beloved Dr. showed her; that she already possessed. Emma, you make life seem magical in your almost harsh accounts of reality, when you change it up in your mind so to speak. I have learned, that suffering is only rewarded with more suffering. When I started this book I almost put it down. Oh boy, I thought, here's another Prozac Nation, little girl lost-type memoir. A tale of drowning in bad decisions and self pity. But! Emma is a great writer and a deep feeler and her insights and clever prose won me over. She's clearly a smart cookie and funny as hell. I appreciated her wit and her humorous take on some dark subjects. I especially recommend this book to anyone dealing with mental illness or going through a catastrophic break-up. It may serve as a life line.
