Take Me To The River By WILL HOBBS Take Me To the River by Bill Hobbs what a great book. Just like how lately I have done responses about other interesting books like in The Hunger Games,I do a two in one response. That is when i keep adding more response as I get father in the book. Enough about that though , Take Me To The River is a good exciting book that keeps you at the edge of your seat to see what happens next , without making you know to much which is great about the book. It really mostly about fourteen year old Dylan and his cousin Rio who plan an exciting trip down the Rio Grande at the Texas border it is all fun and games till some one goes down the river. My next response is coming soon. "Hitchhike eighty miles through the desert ... were they kidding?" When Dylan heads to the US/Mexican border to visit his uncle and cousin, Rio, to do some rafting, he knows things are going to be rugged, but this is ridiculous. Then, when he gets there, he finds out that his uncle is in Alaska and his cousin wants him to go rafting anyway. Isn't that really dangerous? But he can tell how disappointed Rio is going to be if he says he doesn't want to go. "Here you are, I told myself, about to take your last step on the slippery slope. Think, you fool. Stop and think." To make matters worse, there has been some drug cartel violence and a kidnapping in the area. Oh, and did I mention the hurricane brewing off the coast that could have a profound impact on the river they will be rafting on? Talk about a perfect storm for disaster. If Dylan's parents knew what he was about to do, they would kill him!Will Hobbs puts you right in the middle of a rafting expedition with his descriptive details of the scenery and the procedures of rafting in this dangerous area.
