This is the second book I have read in this series. Unfortunately I got them from the library out of sequence but it appears I don't have to have read the books in between to understand what is going on. There were some scenes that are spoilers for when I read the other books but I am ok with that. I like the way these books are split between 3 different couples, alternating points of view within each couple and switching between each couple. The switches are well done, not cliffhangery just for effect. The sex in this book was a little more intense than I am used to, but not too overwhelming. I enjoyed the issues the characters had to overcome and felt their stress was realistic. I am planning on reading the rest of the series soon. Trance is sent to London to recruit Ulrika "Rik" to ACRO (Agency for Covert Rare Operatives.) Trance is chosen for the mission because of his experience BDSM from his past. Although, just when he thought he left the past of being a Dom behind him, he gets caught up in the world of extreme sex play with Rik, a shapeshifter who doesn't have complete control of her inner beast. The price of becoming a submissive weighs heavy on Trance's psyche, but through it all Trance and Rik find a true connection of trust and love. It's best to read these books in order to connect the dots with all the other subplots. I like the relationship between Trance and Rik because their story had conflict. And the sex scenes are minimal giving the book a chance to actually give a plot. The first two books in the series were nothing but sex scene after sex scene with no real plot. The series is getting much better with each book for me. And the male on male action is growing on me. Not that I'll start reading those types of books, but with this series, that story line with Dev and Gabriel fits in quite well. I also like the creativity of the characters and their abilities. It's difficult for one writer to write a book, but with two writers, I know it has to be tough. I think these two authors work very well together to form a cohesive series with interesting characters and gobs of mind-blowing sex. On to the next book...

I liked this book, not as much as the others in the series but I liked it. The beginning, I was a lil iffy about. I didn't like the fact that a big bad ACRO agent was being called 'boy' by the heroine. I love books with great conflicts to see how the characters deal with it, and in this, it was a lil lacking. Just a lil. Story was still great, just like all the Acro series, specially loved the incorporation of Meg and Ryan's story. All in all still a great book to read.
