This had been on my TBR ever since I read Never Enough, and certainly after devouring The Chase Brothers' series last year. It did not disappoint me. The story has enough plot, but not too much drama, and the extras are interesting in their own right. It had some interesting themes; dealing with family, with morals and expectations, and with dreams and reality. The inner dialogue from different points of view worked well too. All in all a book that satisfies - although I'd have enjoyed a cherry turnover too, if one had been offered! I picked this book up because it was a free digital book, and the synopsis talked about a woman opening a cafe (my dream). The book turned out to be so much more. I read all of the Lauren Dane books I could get my hands on for a year. I was addicted. I absolutely recommend this and any other Lauren Dane book to any independent woman who is not afraid of her sexuality. 50 shades of grey has nothing on anything Lauren Dane writes. Fair Warning her books are explicit.
Just skip everything except the steamy scenes between Jules, Gideon, and Cal.
