At first this was a very thrilling story. As it goes on it grows more and more outlandish and confusing. It seems that someone hit a button that switched the emotional and dramatic scenes with the calmer and cool headed characters, and visa-versa. Man does that cause a frustrated reader (not to mention curious glances) when you start yelling at the characters; "Why are you freaking about something so trivial!?" or "Why aren't you freaking about this right now!?".While I really liked the idea of the Zhamvy and was at first drawn to their magical world, it soon became to preposterous to be believable. This is an unusual and very entertaining paranormal story. I normally do not read this genre, but having read Savor by Kate Evangelist, curiosity got the best of me.I loved this book! So creative and unique! I am now more than hoping her novel RELISH will be published soon. I cannot wait to see what happens with these characters as they change and evolve in this fantastic world Kate has created.
This is Demitri and Phoenix story, yeah I know but Luka all the way. Full review to follow.

I liked the story. Thought it was going to be more than one book though.
