I thought I would lose interest as book 2 has it's HEA. You know, when a story has reached a perfect conclusion, all is well in an ideal world and you can't fathom what could come as more interesting. But no, I was deeply mistaken. The author rocked my world with all the plots, ordeals and interesting new characters. The story does not evolve only around Sam and Jared but has reached its own life and other heroes will come forth.A truly great reading I recommend for fans of badass heroine leading male squads with challenges sprinkled all along her path. And let's not forget the drool sticked to my Kindle, courtesy of Jared's hotness! Wow, so the this new thing called "The Call" reminds me of I am Legend with those sickly skeletal creatures when vampires cannot digest any blood and die within the month. Anyways, Sam and Jared has to deal with a lot in this new book1. Finding a cure for the Call2. The Coronation/ taking over Antonio's job 3. Being investigated by the Prelature on misconduct on Sam's part4. Luther's premonition of Sam being put in grave danger 5. Evan and Aloria's dilemnaAll and all, we see Sam and Jared depend on each other and need each other when both are so fiercely independet. Jared's birthday gift to Sam was one of the sweetest and thoughtful gifts I have ever read. Such a good and exciting story. Maybe there will be another one after?
What do You think about Taste Of Torment (2014)?
