My son met Jan Brett yesterday at Children's Book World in Haverford, PA. He said she was as wonderful as we thought she would be. The illustrations in her books (especially this one) just bring a smile to your face. What a good story this is! Looking forward to what she has next for us! If you have never picked up a Jan Brett book, what is wrong with you! Correct your mistake now. It will put a smile on your face. The side panels on each page is brilliant! ‘The Animals' Santa’ written and illustrated by Jan Brett is another title from this author loved by kids and their parents, alike due to his beautiful writing style and imaginative illustrations. In his latest work readers will meet Big Snowshoe and Little Snow who are eagerly waiting for Santa arrival. And when Big Snowshoe will tell Little Snow that Santa is coming carrying present for all the animals, Little Snow will be sceptic and will try to find out who Santa actually is.Animal by animal will tell stories about their gifts received in the last years, trying to convince Little Snow that the animals' Santa actually exists and he is coming. But none of the animals actually seen him therefore Little Snow will still remain unconvinced, thinking that all the animals just teasing him. And when the Christmas Eve will come and everyone will go to sleep, Big Snowshoe will come up with fantastic idea which in the end will be beautiful Christmas surprise for everyone…Jan Brett again wrote nice and engaging story which together with his illustrations make ‘The Animals' Santa’ a book that can be great gift for the upcoming Christmas. Combination of larger and smaller panels will encourage imagination of children to guess for themselves who actually Santa is therefore giving this title an additional quality. Therefore, ‘The Animals' Santa’ equally as previous author’s works will be appealing to both children and their parents who together will enjoy browsing through its pages while actual Santa is coming with gifts for all the good children.
