Loved the first candy wars that Brandon Mull wrote and the second is just as good. The kids in the Blue Falcon club - Nate, Summer, Pidgeon and Trevor - are all good kids. You want them to succeed because they not only try hard to be there for one another, but their intentions are good. John Hart and Mozag, a powerful magician are missing. The Blue Falcons want to help and the new arcade in Walnut Hills is the key to they mystery. I got swept away with Brandon Mull's storytelling. You can feel everything that the kids go through for initiation into this new adventure. New villians are introduced and new competition between four groups are pitted against each other. The missions become more complicated, but the final prize is amazing. You'll love it more than the first. One of the best book I have ever read! It's a sequel to the first book which introduced one of the main characters, Nate. This book shows Nate and his friends going undercover to find out about a new arcade at the neighboring town. So, I want to tell you more but that would be giving you spoilers. Again, this book is one of my favorite books! Oh and recommended to people who like action/adventure, fiction, fantasy, and humor. I might put this in the children's genre too though.
What do You think about The Arcade Catastrophe (2012)?
My kids loved the first one, but this second book didn't hold their attention for some reason.

A fun read, but I started feeling like I was reading a story from Fabelhaven.
