Thought this would be a good, steamy, short-story. It was disappointing. Even for a smutty read, it was bad. April is a total pushover and is far too compliant. She just came off as weak and gullible. Her husband was a pig. The other partners were creepy pervs. To top it all off, the book ends abruptly in the middle of the only steamy scene, at a pivotal point in the story! I'm no stranger to cliffhangers, but at least finish the damn scene! I won't be continuing this little series to find out one way or another. When I picked up this book, I didn't realize it was the same author as "The Assignment" and just thought that this was another string of books that are all similar to each other. It was pretty similar to the other book by Abby Weeks though this one, the character was more relate-able to for some reason. Again, I didn't expect it to be erotica, but it would be nice to finish reading the series if only to see what kind of woman the main character turns out to be in the end.
