The Butterfly Effect: How Your Life Matters (2010) - Plot & Excerpts
The purpose of this book is to inspire and motivate. Each of us has unique qualities that we are meant to use to affect positive change in the world. Although this book is short, it is simple and to the point. After reading it, you are inspired to go out and do...act...be the best person you can be in every situation because your actions have lasting effects on everything else. Not many books have inspired me more or as quickly as this book. I love this book because the author Andy Andrews, signed it himself and sent me a message, PERSIST!Two of my favorite quotes is: "Every single thing you do matters." and "Your life... and what you do with it today... MATTERS FOREVER!"IN 1963, Edward Lorenz presented a hypothesis to the New York Academy of Science. They laughed at him. His theory stated simply was: A butterfly could flap its wings and send molecules of air in motion, which would move other molecules of air, in turn moving more molecules of air-eventually capable of starting a hurricane of the other side of the planet.30 years later it was proved to be TRUE! The Butterfly Effect was accorded to the status of "LAW" now know as -The law of Sensitive Dependence upon Initial Conditions.
