The Deliverer (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

So I really really found this story interesting. There were portions of this book that I really liked but there were also portions that I found just strange. The trouble with the book is that beyond Silas and Garland (the grandfather) there was no real relationships built and I did not like that. I felt as though they were so wrapped up in each other that the whole world did not exist for them. The Marenon were a little out there and I found that they missed a lot of the paranormal factors that I desire when reading a book. I am glad that I got to read the book but I will probably not finish the series. I really didn't think I would find a fantasy author whose writing enthralls me as much as R.A. Salvatore. However, Jason Morrow is right up there with Salvatore. The personalities of the characters fit the plot perfectly and the action kept me coming back for more. Morrow's explanation of how humans came to exist in Marenon was ingenious. As much as I would enjoy moving on to the next book in the trilogy, I have to force myself to read a book by another author, but I will definitely return to Marenon to see how and what people the Meshulan is destined to deliver, as well as what he is to deliver them from. Could it really be the Stuhocs, or are they merely perceived as being evil? Will the Dunarians be able to retrieve the two remaining medallions, which will provide them with the ultimate weapon? And will Silas find The Gatekeeper to learn about his destiny as the Meshulan?

This book was interesting. I don't know if I will continue the series as it is not my genre.
