The Dog Lived (and So Will I): A Memoir (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
Loved this book! I think it's remarkable that Ms. Rhyne's writing can make you laugh (out loud, no less)over both her own and her dog's cancer. Ms. Rhyne is so honest and forthright in this book. Her love for and her relationship with her dog was a big plus for me, as well. Ms. Rhyne is someone who I'd love to have as a friend, and she turned a horrific subject into a work of hope. Very well done. Good read. This book is actually titled, "Dog Lived (and so will I)" but 'goodreads' refused to accept that entry. It is an excellent story of the challenges some folks face and how they handle each challenge. It is a story of courage with a sense of humor. It is a story of cancer... Whether you have cancer or not, surely you already know someone who has or had it. This is an excellent lesson in how to respond to that struggle.
What do You think about The Dog Lived (and So Will I): A Memoir (2000)?
Good story - uplifting, even. Sad commentary on our current healthcare system.

Would have said it was sappy except that it was pretty much a true story.
