Loved this book. Easy to read. A bit of an unusual story. It's about a book store. It starts with the owner, Luca, dying in the first chapter (in a mystifying manner). Turns out his son, a quite successful lawyer, who he hasn't spoken to in about 20 years, inherits the place. As it turns out, things are not quite as they seem, and so begins the intrigue. It was a lovely book to come home to after a stressful day at work. I have mixed feelings about this book. On one side - awesome it is about the power of reading, makes it unique. On the other side.. it's my problem that I read too many books like already. From the very beggining I saw the pattern how would the book go. Think about it, there are many books/films where main character is living normal life, then someone close dies and is leaving a secret to discover, during action someone who seemed cool is an enemy - just to mention Da Vince Code from Brown, Eight from Katherine Neville and many others. I need to try other type of books.. because if it goes that way, I will not find pleasure in reading already knowing what happens later.
What do You think about The Library Of Shadows (2007)?
An enjoyable read which is a combination of mystery, science fiction and a love of books.
