The Pairing (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

Simply Amazing!I loved everything about this book, and to be honest I didn't think I would. We met Pesh when he in previous book, where he sort of dated Emma( and they kissed and as far as I remember it was a passionate kiss). also, we learnt that he was married, but his wife died and after her he was sad and depressed and didn't want anything with anyone.(even sex)After this introduction I was not sure that I could believe that he will be in love with Megan. Usually books with such plots leave me super angry and frustrated because I don't really feel that main lead is special for hero. Well, that wasn't the case here. Megan and Pesh were amazing and truly loved each other. I loved how honest he was about his wife, that even though he did love before in no way I felt he loved Megan less. He was the one who wanted a relationship and who became a great father for her son. For her it was a bit longer to get there, as she was afraid to get hurt again after the situation with her ex. But they did fall in love and had their HEA.Minor minus: I didn't really get why did he have to have oral sex with one of the nurses like what was the point? Just to create the dramatical tension? And it was after they had that night with Megan which seemed very OOC for Pesh. Well, that was the only minus so I overlooked it( and usually I hate that too and it ruins a book for me, but this book is an exception) Oh Katie Ashley you have done it again. I have absolutely loved the Proposition series! I really like that this book wasn't too terribly emotional to make it through. Wow! The resistance from Megan and the persistence from Push were beautiful to follow.I loved the reference to your other series...Runaway Train. Happy reading to all those who love Katie Ashley; you will not be disappointed!
