Winter is an obnoxious ladies man with a secret past, Abbie is from a rich family but tries to keep her distance from them and has a career as a journalist. The two of them are forced to meet and they antagonise each other from the start.Abbie never defends herself against some of Winter's harsh comments which annoys me a bit, she doesn't fight his preconceived picture of her when she's obviously able to. I did like the plot and the characters, steamy scenes too. A good read. I read this book in one sitting. Could not put it down. And when I finished it, I read it again (starting the next day, though, because otherwise I would have been up all night)! I cannot think of a single thing I didn't like about this book. Tortured hero, independent woman, action, adventure, romance and just enough kink to make it hot! The Pleasures of Winter kept me engaged the whole time. I look forward to future books by these very talented writers.
