The Scream of Dragons is a novella in the Cainsville series by Kelley Armstrong.The story is about a young boy named Bobby whose mom was from Cainsville. He goes there and visits.This boy is different and his grandmother beats him.The story is dark and different although it was pretty interesting. We get to see a few characters from the series. I'm looking forward to reading book two, Visions. Really enjoyed this little prequel to the series! I recognised a couple of the names that show up in the series itself and I loved seeing a little bit more about the inhabitants of Cainsville and what makes Cainsville special. I felt bad for little Bobby, it feels like it was his grandmothers fault that he went bad, that the wrong dragon won the fight so to speak. With how the Elders acted with him it seems like he could have gone another direction but by the time they realised something was wrong he'd gone too far for them to really help him!
Such a great short story, loved reading it, added to the depth of the world in Cainesville!
