I've been a fan of Marita Conlon-McKenna for many years. It's been quite some time since I read one of her books, so decided to take The Stone House away on holiday, it seemed to be a perfect beach read.As usual Conlon-McKenna delivered just what I wanted. A family story, set in Ireland; this really is a great story, perfectly paced with some wonderfully created characters.Three very different sisters return home to their childhood home when they hear that their much-loved Mother is seriously ill. Each one of them have their own story, and these are told, along with the story of their mother.Warm and well written, I enjoyed this novel very much
