The Summer Of Moonlight Secrets (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

I really liked this book because it was a mystery. It was about a mysterious girl named Tara who has appeared out of nowhere. She is a strange girl who claims to have her seal skin stolen from her. She is always very quiet and only talks to a girl named Allie Jo and Chase. But then one day a strange man comes looking for Tara. He says Tara is his niece who is crazy in the head and had run away from home but Allie Jo thinks otherwise. Then when Allie Joe, Chase, and Tara are at an annual festival the strange man shows up to find Tara. Will this man ever get what he wants? Will Tara get away? Good story....not as gripping for me as I would like but still a very good book for young readers. I absolutely was thrilled to see a fantasy book for kids that was not about vampires, werewolves, fairys or mermaids. I love storys about all those things, very much. But the creature this author chose to write about is not one I have read many stories about and it was a very nice change. Little bit of suspense, particularly in the last few chapters. This book is written much like James Patterson has written many of his books for young readers, with a chapter by one character and then one by another, this particular book is written specifically from two of main characters, Allie Joe and Chase. There is another chapter written either by Tara who would be the main character or a narrator type person I think. The setting of the story in the hotel is great, really interesting and Allie Jo sounds like someone I would like to know better, her life sounds like an adventure.

It was a great book. I'd suggest it to any body who is a kid and loves paranormals as much as i do!
