The war of the ember is a fantasy written by Kathryn Lasky. It is the fivetenth book of the guardians of ga'hoole series. This book was a real page turner because I didn't know what was going to happen next. It also kept meon the edge of my seat. I thought this book was very interesting because I had grown to like all the characters through out the series so I was afraid maybe something would happen to my favorite characters.it was also very interesting because I knew something big was going to happen. While I was reading I thought it was very suspenseful because I thought some thing bad was going to happen. The mood of he story was dark and scary. I could feel the darkness and scariness inside me because I knew that in order for either side to win it would be a bloody battle. I liked this book because of all those things. This book was so powerful, and much better than ninth to fourteenth books, which were getting a bit sour, as though Kathryn Lasky couldn't think of anything else to write. The battle at the end was also really powerful, the only bad part being that I got so caught up in it and so excited that I only read about every second or third word, and missed the main sections {SPOILER ALERT} including Coryn's death. The story wrapped up, mentioned something about Soren being king, and I'm like "what happened to Coryn?". So, I had to read the whole war section again, telling my self to read SLOOOOWLY. I managed, caught on to what happened to Coryn, and, I admit, began crying. Coryn was such a powerful character, his death, very sad.The reason I give this book four stars, instead of the five the first few books had, was because although the ending was great, it was dragging on a bit
