Niet alleen naar eten maar ook naar meer van Bardugo want haar schrijfstijl is echt super leuk om te lezen.Het verhaal gaat over een mythe in het bos bij het plaatsje Duva. Het is superleuk om te lezen en ik had het in een halfuurtje uit. Ondanks dat het zo kort is vond ik het zeker de moeite waard en ik noem dit korte verhaal een dikke aanrader! I've been curious about this trilogy for a while now, so I decided to check out this prequel short story to see if the world was interesting.Nadya lives in the little town of Duva. A place where the forest eats young girls. When her mother dies and her older brother is preparing to leave, her father is pursued by Karina and ends up marrying her. Karina is cruel and doesn't like Nadya. Actually, she tells her to go. And she does. Nadya finds sanctuary in a hut. When she eventually returns home after winter, she finds out the awful truth.Wow. What a fantastic folk tale. It hooked me in right away. I read it in one sitting and loved it! It's creepy, mysterious, and reveals a shocking end.I'm going to have to buy the first book now. LOL.
